5 Healthy Food for Babies

One of the things moms usually ask is “Can my baby eat this?” “Is this good for my baby?” “Is this healthy for my baby?” Babies can already start eating solid food at least 4 months to 6 months old, depending on their taste buds. Some babies feel agitated when eating solids because they are not used in swallowing firmer food.

Before letting the baby eat solids, make sure they sit upright so they can easily swallow their food. Moms can place them on their laps or let them sit in a high chair with a safety belt. Letting babies eat solids does not mean they have to stop breastfeeding; they still need to breastfeed to get their basic nutritional needs. It is best to ask recommendation from your pediatrician on what solid food they can start eating and to avoid allergic reactions.

They can be reluctant at first; try to put a small amount in the baby’s mouth for them to be able to taste and smell the food. Give it about two days to see if there are any allergic reactions from the food provided, if not, it means the baby’s body can easily absorbed the nutrients from the food given to them.
